How to take care of jewelry out of wood beads
As the name described, wood beads are made of wood and given various shapes, this kind of beads have natural wood color and are often artificially colored. Some of the jewelry beads are available in polished form and yet few are unpolished.
Wood beads jewelry has their unique charm because of their designs, carved features and ethnic look. Regular usage of wood jewelry can often make the piece dull and faded. Today I will teach you take care of wood beads jewelry.
Dust your jewelry with a clean cloth every time you wear it and even after removing it. Wood jewelry can be cleaned with a damp cloth but then dry it immediately. Do not soak your jewelry in water as it may swell.
To make your wood jewelry retain its look and finish, you can buy a jewelry box at Jewelry Making supplies stores. It is always advisable to store in a proper jewelry box when you are not wearing it. You’d better store them in a cool, dark, and dry box. Do not store your wood jewelry on a sunny window sill as they will be exposed to extreme temperatures on hot summers.
Polish your wood jewelry from time to time. Wood beads lose its luster and become dull. With polish, its patina can last for a long time. Polish it with a simple wood cleaner. Depending on the type of wood you have you use a specific wood cleaner that will help make the wood jewelry shine as best it can. You can also clean wood jewelry with tea tree oil, jojoba oil, grape seed oil, olive oil. Applying oil will keep your wood jewelry shiny and protect it from the humidity changes in the environment
