Scrapbooking Kits Make Scrapbooking Easy
Are you looking for a fun way to organize your wedding pictures or pictures of your baby? Have you ever looked at someone’s scrapbook album and thought, “I could never do that”? Scrapbooking kits might just be the answer. Whether you purchase a kit on-line or at a store, there is a wide range of kits to choose from. You can create a book for grandparents, the seasons, sports, memorials…just to name a few! Depending on how big of a scrapbook you want to make and how much time you have, will partially determine the type of kit you purchase.
Pre-made kits. A pre-made kit is a great option for a beginner, a child, or if you’re short on time. Pre-made kits are available for announcing: the arrival of a baby, a wedding, a birthday celebration, or the completion of a school year. The kit contains a decorative album and pre-made pages. You simply insert your photos and write your descriptions.
Page kits. To document a vacation, your family tree, a birthday party, or a kindergarten graduation, page kits are a great option. Most kits contain several sheets of themed paper, frames, cardstock, stickers and alphabetical letters. They also usually include fun textured items, such as rhinestones, buttons, or fake coins.
Themed paper kits. For bigger projects, consider purchasing a themed paper kit. These kits usually contain 50 to 200 sheets of paper, centered around a common theme such as wedding, nature, Christmas, etc. You can also purchase coordinating cardstock, frames, stickers and borders.
Album kits. An album kit typically contains a decorative album, coordinating paper, stickers, alphabetical letters, etc. These kits are great for documenting baby’s first year, a wedding, or a 50th wedding anniversary. A really cute idea is a calendar kit where you can personalize each month for someone special.
Digital kits. With the use of digital scrapbooking software, you can create beautiful 8.5″x11″ pages, print them and adhere them to your 12″x12″ themed paper. On each page, you’re able to create scenes using your pictures, clip art, phrases and fun borders. The digital kits come with a photo album, themed paper, stickers, and fun decorations such as ribbons. A digital kit is a great option if your pictures are mainly on a digital camera.
If you’re new to scrapbooking, or limited on time, consider purchasing a kit. Scrapbooking kits provide you with most everything you need. You just need to supply the photos, glue and a little imagination. Why not start a new family tradition or a girls’ get together and work on a kit with a few people? You’ll have lots of fun and you’ll be preserving memories for a long time.
